The main idea of the project became «ecological conversion» of all factory territory. As the enterprise is a model of high technologies, after reconstruction it should personify exemplary “technopolis” of the future. All arsenal of modern “ecology-architecture” has been applied for achievement of this purpose: planted trees and shrubs with platforms for rest ramps and planked footways on the roof, using of natural ventilation in «double facades» system, using of waste heat in greenhouses on the roof, etc. As a whole, we wanted to achieve the effect of «a green coverlet», thrown on old frames, and created the second, overground level of public life and «hanging gardens».
