Parametrs
capacity of the main hall – 4500 seats, open-air stage occupancy — 15000 persons s.

The main idea of our proposal was not to create an architectural form but to make a green oasis in the middle of a booming urban areas. The entire area is transformed into a nature reserve, a small branch of Nangang Mountain, a new park for the future residential complexes. The main functions of the center disguised as craters and hills – the elements of natural scenery.
The main source of inspiration was the image of a Dragon – an important symbol for both the Eastern world, and for the modern pop culture. The main elements of the center have become a part of the body of this mythical animal: the main hall – as the head, outdoor performance space with a canopy of translucent membrane – as the wing, and a public area with a commercial center – as the writhing body.
In our project we have shown the way of the future development of adjacent site, including it in the overall composition of the «big crater», which can also be interpreted as the «Dragon’s nest». In this case, the main hall is transformed into «Dragon’s egg».
In addition to formal analogies, images of the Volcano and the Dragon are also important in the spiritual level – as the release of huge amount of positive energy, taking place in the pop concerts. In the evening the similarity with the fire-breathing beast or a volcanic eruption is reinforced by the glow of stage lights and it’s smoke.
From a functional standpoint, the project fully meets all requirements listed in project design. The considerable experience in the architect’s design and construction of theaters and concert venue, as well as overlapping railways allows us to be confident in the successful development of the project.
