Potential place for the Russian seafarers Museum allocation, in an ideal, could become the quay of the Moscow – river near large business center – “Moscow-city” or business center “Krasnye holmi”. Such neighborhood would provide the maximal interest to an exposition and its commercial component, and also would create recreational space for the business center. As an experimental place we have taken a site of the quay opposite to “Moscow-city”, near to P.Fomenko’s theater, on the other side from the 3 Transport ring. The basic volume of the museum – transparent “cocoon-case” for a “Alye paruse” yacht and some other exhibits – hangs above water, touching the coast by one of the ends. “Hills” embracing it comprise other spaces of a museum, and thematic shops, restaurants, cafe and other commercial spaces as well. The quay accomplishment would allow to create the uniform city foot zone beginning from the theater of P.Fomenko building. Also creation of a mooring-pontoon for the “street” exhibits, combined with the river transport landing station is possible. Further it would allow to organize a water tourist route from Island with the historical yacht-club through the Museum of the Russian seafarers to the Museum of underwater Russia fleet in Northern Tushino.
